It's finally summer here and that means the wildflowers are blooming! Let me take you along to my favorite places that make me want to spin around like Maria in The Sound of Music!
Kissing Camels is a special rock formation that looks exactly like it sounds! It can be found in Garden of the Gods, a magical park where red sandstone formations stick up from the ground like Stegosaurus ridges.
Kissing Camels (the polish) is a warm tan crelly with red iron micro flecks, like the sandstone ridges that make up Garden of the Gods.
Dream Lake is special place in Rocky Mountain National Park that is loved by humans and moose alike. It's a high altitude body of water, always cold, that is surrounded by forest and flowers.
Dream Lake polish is a pale petal pink crelly that has a light aqua shimmer to it and a scattering of fuschia reflective glitter.
Chautauqua Park is an expansive nature area in Boulder, Colorado, just below the flat irons. It's just a stunning place for hiking, bird watching, rock climbing in nearby Eldo Canyon, and wildflower admiring.
Chautauqua Park polish is a blue shimmery, deeper orchid pink with scattered blue micro holo.
If you were an 80s and 90s kid in Colorado, you most likely first learned of Bishop Castle from going to raves there. It's an enormous stone structure built by a man named Jim Bishop who believed in the pursuit of happiness and whimsical, self-directed architecture. To hell with county inspectors, he said. He is now passed but his amazing castle lives on for all of us to enjoy.
Bishop Castle polish is a vibrant purple that leans blue. It features a shimmery scattering of micro holo flecks.
White Locoweed is this collection's topper and one of my favorite native flowers. It's scent is enchanting, it stands tall in the sunlight and if you see it, don't touch it because it's poisonous.
White Locoweed as a polish is a fun and festive petal white glitter mixed with violet reflecting flakies.
